A few nights ago, I found myself furiously reorganizing my medicine cabinet at 2AM. It was a very random and very intense deep-cleaning of something that didn’t need a deep-cleaning.

I suddenly realized I was trying to escape my feelings of overwhelm and anxiety.

Like me, you probably have a lot of things on your plate and some dreams for your life that you want to make reality.

If you get overwhelmed thinking about how you’re going to accomplish everything, I recorded this week’s video for you. I’ll tell you how I calmed myself down — without giving up.

After my medicine cabinet moment, I recognized that I was just scaring myself by imagining the torturous work my goals might require of me, as well as everything that could possibly go wrong.

But then I returned to that moment, alone in my warm bed in the dark in the wee hours of the morning, and said to myself, “Everything is okay right now. Actually, some things are better than okay.” I started to feel so much better as I consciously noticed all of the wonderful things happening in my life.

I still had to get up the next day and attack my to-do list, but I did it with a new mindset: that Rome wasn’t built in a day.

You don’t have to fix your entire life this week or even this year by the time the clock strikes midnight on December 31st. In fact, if you try to do too much at once, you’re likely to do some damage — or whatever progress you make won’t last very long.

Your goals and dreams are going to take time, but if you move forward with faith, just one step at a time, you’re going to get there.

I promise.

With all my love,
