A friend recently texted me, “Jordan, I’m pretty good at accepting myself, but I have a hard time loving myself.”

I understood exactly what he was trying to say.

As a gay man, I know firsthand that accepting yourself and deeply loving yourself are two different things. Often, acceptance of who you are comes after you’ve begun to practice self-love.

Here are some great self-love tools that I use in my own life.

A Course In Miracles says, “Miracles are habits.”

The most important thing here is to be consistent. Try to incorporate one, some, or all of these practices into your daily life and allow them to become habitual.

With love,
